Who is the NYC Literary It-Girl?
Style in Every Story
In New York City, every girl has a signature accessory. Some girls swear by a perfect red lip or brown liner. Others won’t even leave their apartment without their favorite sunglasses. But lately, there is a new staple in the manicured hands and peeking out of Coach bags across the five boroughs: the book.

Reading Her Way Through the City
The NY it-girl isn’t just reading; she’s curating. Her bag and her book move through the big city with her, telling a story before she even says a word. A romance novel in the West Village. An autobiography in FiDi. A sci-fi adventure on the Lower East Side. In a city that never stops talking, reading has become the new way to embrace the noise and to listen: to yourself, to the world, to the stories that impact you.

One Chapter At A Time
At Coach, we have always believed that what you carry tells the world who you are. And lately, we’ve noticed something: the book has become the new it-ccessory. Not tucked away in the bottom of a bag but proudly displayed. Peeking out of a Tabby, resting beside a Brooklyn, slipped into a soft leather Lana. For the New York girl, her bag holds her essentials: lip gloss, keys, an old MetroCard (R.I.P.), but it also holds her current chapter. Her stories. Her mood. Her next main-character moment.
Style in Every Story is our ode to her:
The girl who treats a paperback like a passport and believes a chic outfit deserves a beautiful book to match.

Because in New York, your bag doesn’t just complete your look.
It completes your story.
